Our Commitments to the Environment

We are particularly concerned about two main factors when making our products with our laboratory; the impact of our cosmetics on health and the environmental challenges of tomorrow.

Commitment #1: Vegan Products and No Animal Derivatives

All of our products are fully vegetarian, meaning they contain no ingredients or derivatives from animals. Furthermore, our products are 98% natural and pose no health risks. We ensure this by rechecking the composition before each new production launch. Additionally, all of our formulas are paraben-free.

We are sensitive to animal welfare, and in line with vegan philosophy and in accordance with current European regulations, BOTAN does not test any of its products on animals, nor the ingredients they contain.

Commitment #2: Supporting Organic Farming

We adhere to a strict European cosmetic regulation that already bans more than 1300 ingredients.

When we make a choice regarding the origin of our natural active ingredients with our laboratory, we guide them towards organic farming and gentle extraction techniques, involving no prohibited or controversial products and solvents.

Commitment #3: Even More Responsible Packaging

The cardboard packaging in which we send your orders is made from recycled materials. To protect your packages, we use ecological padding particles made from cornstarch inside these boxes. These particles are also compostable and do not emit any toxic fumes.

We strive to avoid unnecessary cardboard or plastic overpackaging. In our view, the content should be more important than the packaging.

We think daily about how we can optimize our practices in terms of waste reduction and combating waste.

In line with sustainable development, our spray and cream bottles are made of aluminum or recyclable and recycled plastic.

Commitment #4: Technology Between Innovation and Sustainable Development

Without propellant gas, all our aerosols and their natural spray preserve the quality of the active product being sprayed. This patented spraying technology is considered economical and safe for the environment.

Beyond ease of use and practicality, it guarantees complete protection of the content and, more importantly, of the final user. It allows for a continuous distribution system, without contamination from backflow into the container, ensuring absolute product protection while using fewer preservatives. This unique system is developed to produce not only a superior quality distribution spray system but also to reduce our ecological footprint compared to traditional aerosol spray technology and ensure 100% product usage.

Commitment #5: Carbon-Neutral Delivery

For most of its deliveries, BOTAN has chosen the Colissimo service from the La Poste group, which has been working since 2003 to preserve the environment, combat global warming, and promote social and territorial cohesion.

Since BOTAN ships numerous orders daily, this choice of delivery partner was an obvious one as we made a simple observation: the group has one of the largest fleets of electric vehicles in the world, their drivers are trained in eco-driving practices, and they consolidate their delivery routes to avoid extra trips.

Their impact on reducing carbon emissions is significant. Furthermore, Colissimo has committed to funding a CO2 reduction project (renewable energy and energy efficiency) or sequestration (reforestation, forest protection…).
